For the 2nd FREE pattern tutorial of the month, brought to you in collaboration with Hobium, I’d thought it would be fun to bring this simple, textured crochet coaster pattern to you all! It uses the pretty & fun, “Kartopu Rubin” yarn in pink with yellow flecks throughout – perfectly soft & chunky for these handmade coasters! Are you ready to get started? Great! Lets go! 😀
Materials:
1 skein of Kartopu Rubin yarn (will make 4 coasters total)
8mm crochet hook
Scissors
Abbreviations:
ch = chain
st = stitch
sc = single crochet
Directions:
(to make 1 coaster)
Row 1: Ch 16.
Put 1 sc in the 4th ch from hook.
*Ch 1, skip 1 ch, 1 sc in the next ch. Repeat from * to the end of the row. (1 sc in the last stitch)
Row 2: Ch 2, turn work.
Put 1 sc in the first ch 1 space from the previous row.
*Ch 1, skip over the next sc, 1 sc in the next ch 1 space. Repeat from * to the end of the row. The last sc is worked into the space between the turning ch 2 and first sc from the previous row.
Rows 3-13 : Repeat row 2.
Cut yarn & weave in all ends.
Repeat all directions to make (up to) 3 more coasters if desired. All finished! 🙂
